Il mio viaggio sostenbile globale

La mia storia di sostenibilità inizia da lontano, ancor prima di entrare nel Gruppo

.:Nel 2014, infatti, ho partecipato ad un progetto di volontariato di due mesi in Kenya, dove ho lavorato per sostenere la comunità locale e proteggere gli animali e l'ambiente in una riserva naturale.

Come volontario, sono stato coinvolto in varie attività come la ricerca e la protezione della giraffa di Rothschild in via di estinzione, lo studio del comportamento degli animali e della biodiversità della zona, la sensibilizzazione e l'insegnamento ai bambini sull'importanza di proteggere l'ambiente.

Questa esperienza ha spesso guidato le mie scelte personali e professionali.

Credo fortemente nel ruolo sociale delle assicurazioni e nell'importanza di mettere al centro la tutela. Quando sono entrato nel Gruppo, ho cercato di cogliere quante più opportunità possibili per svolgere un ruolo concreto e attivo nel “creare sostenibilità”:

Per due anni ho fatto parte del team Generali Vitality, che incoraggia i nostri clienti a condurre uno stile di vita sano, e nel 2021 sono stato ambasciatore di The Human Safety Net, che mi ha permesso di essere parte attiva di una rete di sostegno familiare. Da circa un anno faccio parte del team P&C Corporate, Commercial and ESG Insurance, lavorando al progetto Net Zero Insurance Journey

.n risposta alla crescente crisi climatica, Generali riconosce la necessità di partecipare attivamente alla transizione globale verso un futuro sostenibile e il Net Zero Insurance Journey si concentra sul raggiungimento di emissioni nette di gas serra pari a zero entro il 2050, in linea con l’obiettivo di 1,5 gradi della Convenzione,Accordo di Parigi

.È un progetto sfidante che richiede grande motivazione e una forte “convinzione” per comunicare all’interno del Gruppo il valore aggiunto che la riduzione delle emissioni può apportare ai portafogli assicurativi per realizzare un futuro più sostenibile e responsabile.Poter partecipare in modo concreto all'impegno di Generali per rafforzare il proprio ruolo di assicuratore responsabile è motivante e coinvolgente. Ognuno di noi può “fare” sostenibilità ogni giorno, contribuendo ad un contesto più ampio e al raggiungimento degli obiettivi di sostenibilità del Gruppo.

My global sustainable journey

My sustainability story begins far away, even before I joined the Group.

In fact, in 2014 I went on a two-month volunteering project in Kenya, where I worked to support the local community and protect animals and the environment in a nature reserve.

As a volunteer, I was involved in various activities such as researching and protecting the endangered Rothschild's giraffe, studying the animals' behavior and the biodiversity of the area, and raising awareness and teaching children about the importance of protecting the environment.

This experience has often guided my personal and professional choices.

I strongly believe in the social role of insurance and the importance of putting protection at the center. When I joined the Group, I tried to seize as many opportunities as possible to play a concrete and active role in "creating sustainability":

For two years I was part of the Generali Vitality team, which encourages our customers to lead a healthy lifestyle, and in 2021 I was an ambassador for The Human Safety Net, which allowed me to be an active part of a family support network. For about a year now, I have been part of the P&C Corporate, Commercial and ESG Insurance team, working on the Net Zero Insurance Journey project.

In response to the escalating climate crisis, Generali recognizes the need to actively participate in the global transition towards a sustainable future, and the Net Zero Insurance Journey focuses on achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the 1.5 degree objective of the Paris Agreement.

It is a challenging project that requires great motivation and a strong "conviction" to communicate within the Group the added value that reducing emissions can bring to insurance portfolios in order to achieve a more sustainable and responsible future.

Being able to participate in a concrete way in Generali's commitment to strengthen its role as a responsible insurer is motivating and engaging. Each of us can "do" sustainability every day, contributing to a broader context and to the achievement of the Group's sustainability goals.
