Europ Assistance Italia and Blink Parametric, a new partnership serving the Italian market

One of the simplest but also one of the most common contingencies for air travelers: flight delay. It is precisely to cover this risk that Europ Assistance Italy has entered into a partnership with Blink Parametric, an Insurtech, division of CPP Italy, specialed in parametric products and among the most innovative at global level, to introduce a new form of parametric insurance tailored for the Italian market.

This strategic collaboration aims to provide travellers with an automatic compensation solution in case of flight delays, through the monitoring of a predefined objective parameter. In this way, if a flight is delayed by more than two hours, insured travelers can choose between relaxing in airport lounges or receiving an immediate fixed reimbursement of 40 euros.

This partnership represents a major milestone for Europ Assistance: the introduction of this parametric product, in fact, aligns perfectly with its mission to offer quick and efficient solutions in response to the daily difficulties faced by travellers and ensures direct and real-time communication with customers, providing them with status updates, a full digital experience and immediate resolution, with no need to open a claim. All travellers need to do is register their flight schedule, which will be monitored in real time. In case of a qualifying delay or cancellation, insurance payout or an airport lounge pass will be automatically delivered.
