Sustainability indices and ratings
In December 2024 Generali was included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index and in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe Index*.
Generali has been included in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025, which showcases the world’s leading companies based on their sustainable business practices.

As of November 2024, Generali confirmed its rating of 'AAA' in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment*. Generali continues to be constituent of MSCI Selection indices, which includes companies with the highest ESG performance (environmental, social and governance), in the sectors represented.

Generali is a constituent in the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2011.
In 2024 Generali was rated C+ with “Prime” status, awarded to companies with a leading sustainability performance in their sector, by ISS ESG.
Assicurazioni Generali is included in the Euronext Sustainable Europe 120, which is part of a range of indices previously known as the Euronext Vigeo Eiris. The Euronext Sustainable Europe 120 index is composed of the highest-ranking listed companies as evaluated by Moody’s ESG Solutions in terms of their corporate responsibility performance.
Likewise, Generali is part of the MIB ESG index, which ranks the top 40 Italian listed companies based on ESG criteria sourced from Morningstar Sustainalytics.
Since September 2012, Generali has been included in STOXX®Global ESG Leaders indices and is a member of other ESG indices such as STOXX Global Governance Leaders and iSTOXX Global ESG Select 100. Companies included in the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders are selected, according to best-in-class criteria, based on sustainability rating assigned by Sustainalytics – a leading company in research and social-environmental analysis – with reference to the main performance indicators.
