Generali Italia, Alleanza and Genertel offer free medical teleconsultation to customers in Italy with a team of over 100 doctors
From today, a team of more than 100 doctors will be made available to 500,000 customers in Italy for listening, providing information and diagnosis through the teleconsultation service, offered by Generali Italia, Alleanza and Genertel. The service of Generali Welion and Europ Assistance will be active 24/7.
Customers can request information about COVID-19, how to prevent infection, and the guidelines to follow in the event of exposure to the virus.
The telephone consultation offers a medical assessment (triage) and, following the protocol defined by the Italian Ministry of Health, the probability that the virus has been contracted will be estimated. Moreover, details on what to do in such cases will be given in accordance with ministerial protocols.
The teleconsultation will initially be available for three months for customers of Generali Italia, Alleanza and Genertel who have signed up to a health and protection solution (*).
Marco Sesana, Country Manager & CEO of Generali Italia and Global Business Lines stated “At the moment, being a Lifetime Partner at all the significant times in people’s lives means making skills available, providing practical and immediate solutions, with the conviction that we will only get through this period with the efforts of a united and strong community. For this reason, thanks to Generali’s International Fund, we are providing half a million Generali Italia, Alleanza and Genertel customers with a 24/7 medical teleconsultation service, able to provide a health evaluation and clear, reliable information on COVID-19”.
(*) The service will be free of charge for Generali Italia customers who have taken out a protection policy; Alleanza customers who have taken out a Semplice con Alleanza policy; Genertel customers with Casa Genertel insurance, and those with GenertelLife life insurance.
