Passionate about opera
Preserve and transmit musical heritage and further develop the creativity and the art form of young talents in Europe. This is the aim of the partnership between Generali and FEDORA for the FEDORA – Generali Prize for Opera. The prize awards talented international teams of co-producing partners who collaborate on the creation of new opera, those who present projects of artists from various artistic backgrounds whose goal is to stage recently composed or rediscovered plays which have not been staged yet.
Philippe Donnet, CEO of Generali Group, commented: “Generali is actively engaged in promoting initiatives which not only preserve and champion culture and musical heritage but also support creativity, talent and innovation. Generali considers this “a way of life” – a consistent reality that shifts and transforms countries, businesses and the entire community. We are proud to support the partnership with FEDORA – encouraging a new generation of talented artists so as to guarantee the future of the opera in Europe, nurturing new productions and sharing this heritage with the community.”
The winner will be announced on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 on the occasion of the ballet performance of La Sylphide performed by the Ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre from St. Petersburg at the Salzburger Festspiele. Generali is actively engaged in promoting initiatives which not only preserve and champion culture and musical heritage but also support creativity, talent and innovation.
