Fully integrated in the Generali 2021 strategy, sustainability inspires our investment and insurance activities. The Group’s most strategic processes include, in fact, a careful assessment of the climate-related impacts of such activities.
Generali has displayed a great deal of innovation in this area. Our Chairman Gabriele Galateri di Genola provides a few examples of the actions taken, including:
- € 4.5 billion to be allocated by 2021 to green and sustainable investments
- A € 750 million green bond issued in 2019, the first by a European insurer
- ‘EnterPrize’, the award for the best sustainable SMEs
- The Group’s first Green Insurance Linked Securities Framework
