Crossing the finish line, crossing a border: there is always a first "footprint" at the beginning of a long journey...in the Intercultural ERG!
Each of us has decided to embark on a long journey, an adventure, without knowing our fellow travellers, the tools at our disposal or the map of the road to be travelled. However, when we applied to join ERG, the group of volunteer colleagues committed to promoting a more inclusive corporate culture, we had something in the intercultural group that had been accumulating, albeit unconsciously: the curiosity and desire to have a "human" experience, to run alongside other colleagues driven by the desire to get involved and be an active part of change, to discover that the path itself is full of opportunities, new stimuli and relationships. Here, in this race, we found ourselves at the "start" together: Martina and Valeria, driven by empathy and the desire to help others; Marco, because he brings to the table the values of humanity and cooperation that he believes in; Anna and Celia, because they feel like "citizens of the world"; Fausto and Isabella, because they see in the collaboration between colleagues a "corporate interculturality" that can enrich them; and Chiara, who sees the team as a composition of colours with a winning strength.
The beauty is to get lost in ideas in order to find ourselves, together, in an end.
The ideas in a few months have been many and we look forward to the Friday hour, dedicated to our ERG, to converge our enthusiasm and values in interpreting and recognizing ourselves in the theme of interculturality.
Between a cup of coffee, a laugh and an ongoing discussion, reflections are born that give rise to initiatives and projects whose common thread is the uniqueness of the human being, whose engine is the symbiotic and proactive relationship that supports the opening of minds, and whose heart is the human experience with us, the "People of Generali", at the centre.
Yes, we think big in our Erg Interculturality!
The responsibility of all of us who work in this Group, which is no less than 190 years old, which has a thousand stories to tell, and which faces as many challenges as the lion has roared over! And let us remember that the lion roars with many voices in unison, voices that are ours, together, unique.
We are aware that every long journey always begins, however, with the first step…
And we wanted to take this first step. Is this already perhaps an achievement? Can crossing the finish line be the first step?

Tagliare un traguardo, superare un confine: c’è sempre una prima «impronta» all’inizio di un lungo viaggio…nell’ERG Interculturalità!
Tagliare un traguardo, superare un confine. Questa è la visione che ci unisce.
Ognuno di noi ha scelto di iniziare un lungo cammino, un’avventura: senza conoscere i compagni di viaggio, gli strumenti a disposizione o la mappa del percorso da intraprendere. Quando però ci siamo candidati per partecipare all’ERG, , il gruppo di colleghi volontari impegnati a promuovere una cultura aziendale più inclusiva, nel gruppo Interculturalità avevamo sì qualcosa che, ancora inconsapevolmente, ci accumunava: la curiosità e la voglia di un’esperienza «umana», di correre al fianco di altri colleghi spinti dalla voglia di mettersi in gioco e di essere parte attiva del cambiamento, per scoprire quanto anche il percorso sia ricco di opportunità, di nuovi stimoli, di relazioni. Ecco allora che in questa corsa ci siamo ritrovati al «via» insieme: Martina e Valeria spinte dalla loro empatia e dalla voglia di aiutare l’altro, Marco mettendo in campo i valori di umanità e cooperazione in cui crede, Anna e Celia perché si sentono «cittadine del mondo», Fausto e Isabella perché vedono nella collaborazione tra colleghi, un’ «interculturalità aziendale» che può arricchirli e Chiara che vede il team come una composizione di colori dalla forza vincente.
Il bello è perdersi nelle idee per ritrovarsi, insieme, in un fine.
Le idee in pochi mesi sono state tante e attendiamo l’ora del Venerdì, dedicata al nostro ERG, per convergere il nostro entusiasmo e i nostri valori nell’interpretare e nel riconoscerci nel tema dell’interculturalità.
Tra un caffè, una risata e il confronto continuo nascono riflessioni che danno spunto a delle iniziative e a dei progetti il cui filo conduttore è l’unicità delle persone, il motore è la relazione simbiotica e proattiva che supporta l’apertura delle menti e il cuore è l’esperienza umana con al centro noi, «Persone di Generali».
Già, pensiamo in grande nel nostro Erg Interculturalità!
Come grande è la responsabilità di tutti noi che lavoriamo in questo Gruppo con ben 190 anni di storia, che ha mille racconti da narrare e altrettante sfide da affrontare, come tante il leone ne ha già superate con il suo ruggito! E ricordiamoci che il leone ruggisce con molte voci all’unisono che sono le nostre, insieme, uniche.
Siamo consapevoli che ogni lungo viaggio inizia però sempre con il primo passo…
E noi questo primo passo abbiamo voluto farlo. Sarà questo già forse un traguardo? Il traguardo da tagliare può essere il primo passo da intraprendere?
