Procuratie Vecchie: an icon of what we stand for

Simone Bemporad from AG SpA
The first time I saw the Procuratie Vecchie after joining Generali was in February or March 2014.

At that time, I had not been in Venice for about 20 years, and I was impressed to see it and to see the square. I was with some members of my team and asked them what part of the building was owned by Generali. “All of it”, they answered.

I was amazed by this – and then I asked what we were doing with such an incredible building. The answer was: “Nothing”.

In that moment, I understood how big an opportunity that was to make something important for Generali – and we did it, creating The Human Safety Net, doing something that talks to our employees, agents, communities.

Now we are approaching the opening of the Procuratie Vecchie (that will happen later this year, in December, to celebrate our 190th Anniversary) and I am very excited and happy thinking back to the long way we have come to make this happen and to transform this building into something really iconic and important for the future of our great Company.
