Generali honoured at the MF Insurance Awards 2025
Assicurazioni Generali and Generali Italia received eight awards for excellence in technical and financial performance, innovation, and leadership, confirming the Group’s solidity and long-term strategy
Assicurazioni Generali and Generali Italia were among the key players at the 2025 edition of the MF Insurance Awards, the event organized by MF – Milano Finanza (Class Editori group) to celebrate excellence in the Italian insurance landscape.
During the ceremony, held in Milan on March 27th at the Istituto dei Ciechi, Generali received eight prestigious awards across economic, technical, and innovation categories - highlighting the Group’s leading role in the industry and its continued commitment to performance, innovation, and sustainability.
Among the most notable recognitions was the award to Philippe Donnet, Generali Group CEO, who was named "Insurer of the Year" in the Insurance Elite category, a testament to the Group’s national and international leadership.
The award was collected by Giulio Terzariol, CEO Insurance at Generali, who also received the award for net profits and shareholders’ equity, in the Compagnie di Valore category.
In his speech, Terzariol stated: "We often talk about financial literacy, but insurance literacy is just as important. The government’s efforts on catastrophe coverage are helping to foster this kind of culture."
He also reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to meeting evolving protection needs: "It is our responsibility, as an insurance company, to offer adequate solutions and services. There is also significant potential for growth in the Health sector, in support of the country."
Assicurazioni Generali was also recognized for its MAP FORWARD programme in the MF Innovation category. The initiative engages more than 9,500 People Managers across more than 25 countries to drive cultural transformation and contribute to the 2025–27 strategic plan.
The programme aims to strengthen managerial capabilities, encourage the adoption of emerging technologies - such as Artificial Intelligence - and foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.
In 2024, approximately 1,000 Senior People Managers attended in-person sessions in Trieste, Buenos Aires, Mumbai, and Hong Kong. The journey continues digitally for the remaining 8,500 managers, with training content available in 18 languages.
In addition to its excellent technical results, Generali Italia was honoured for its commitment to health, welfare, and sustainability, receiving two awards in the MF Innovation category for the Attiva Welfare and Generali Act4Green projects - further confirming the Group’s dedication to developing impactful solutions for individuals, businesses, and the environment.
