Generali invests in the Trieste Convention Centre project

Trieste - Generali will be one of the principal investors in the project to build the new Trieste Convention Centre, the multi-purpose facility which aims to become an innovation and knowledge hub for research and training entities as well as businesses in Central-Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
With a 12% stake, Generali supports one of the most important projects with a view toward the ESOF 2020 (EuroScience Open Forum) event, and, more relevant to the development of Trieste, demonstrating its commitment to promoting real estate initiatives.
Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Chairman of Generali, stated, “This investment confirms our focus on Trieste, the historic headquarters of Generali and a city with high potential for growth, as a result of the extensive network of excellent institutions in scientific fields and the university, as well as the increasing activity of the port system. With the recognition of 2020 science capital, and also thanks to the Trieste Convention Centre, the city will consolidate its international role as a knowledge hub, attracting global investments and talents.”
