Green Energy Forum in China brings together Global Changemakers across the energy and financial services sectors
Generali China Insurance hosted the Green Insurance Facilitating International Development of Energy Transition Forum, which brought together experts, policymakers and industry leaders from various countries to discuss tackling climate change challenges.
The event was inaugurated by Giulio Terzariol, CEO Insurance at Generali Group, Yang Kun, Executive Vice President of the China Electricity Council, and Marco Midolo, First Counsellor and Head of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy of Italy to People’s Republic of China. The Forum was a platform to share knowledge and enhance the dialogue on green energy transition and financial risk management.
Highlights included keynote speech by Lucia Silva, Generali Group's Chief Sustainability Officer, on opportunities and challenges for the insurance industry in the face of green transition. Jack Yuan, CEO of GCI, discussed the innovative development of green insurance.
H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, Italian Ambassador to P.R.C., delivered the closing speech.
Generali has a robust sustainability strategy, but we understand that no single company or government can tackle the impacts of climate change alone. Bringing together key stakeholders to collaborate is the key to enhance global cooperation towards a green transition, particularly in Asia and Europe.
