Strengthening Families for a Brighter Future: Empowering Generations Through Communication, Bonding, and Financial Planning

Indonesia

Building family resilience—through open communication, strong bonds, and smart financial planning—should begin early. This empowers each family member to develop confidence, a positive mindset, and a sense of unity, all while ensuring their financial future is secure and protected.

Since its started journey started in 2018, The Human Safety Net Indonesia has positively impacted more than 15,000 families, including children and parents. Our programs focus on health, character development for children, family resilience, financial literacy—especially regarding insurance—and family financial planning.

These initiatives align with the government’s mission to holistically and integratively enhance family resilience and well-being across the life cycle, as well as to strengthen character-building within families, in line with the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) Policy Directions and Strategies for 2020-2024. Given that Indonesia’s financial literacy rate remains at 49.68%, this effort is crucial for further progress.

We continue to deepen collaboration and engage with diverse stakeholders to amplify our social impact. With this collective effort, we are confident that The Human Safety Net will keep unlocking the potential of vulnerable communities, enabling families and entire communities to transform their lives.
